Baring any last minute changes, Governor Rochas Okorocha of the ruling All Proggresives Congress APC has concluded plans to move over to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP.
Davidchuks Blog can authoritatively reveal that Rochas move to PDP is already signed and sealed waiting for delivery.
Over the last few weeks Nigerians have been getting confusing messages from the governor criticizing his own party. He said a few weeks ago that most Nigerians are not happy with Buharis government and in the same vein accused Tinubu of crying more than the bereaved. All that was in keeping with his new role of attacking his soon to be former party APC.
Prior to his attack on the leadership of the party, countless meetings has been held with governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and Atiku Abubakar who recently left the APC for the PDP. It was discovered that concerns about his political future led him to make the move. In Imo State where he is the governor picking a senate seat is a walk in the park for him, but we learnt that he has very serious ambition of going to Aso Rock. And he was convinced that he stood a better chance of clinching the Vice Presidential ticket in PDP as it is expected that the South East Geopolitical zone will produce the Vice Presidential candidate.
After many months of foot dragging, he finally made up his mind to move after getting rock solid assurances of the backing from PDP governors. It was also learnt that his decision was also because President Buhari has indicated interest in running for a second term. This shattered his plans of being paired with another Northern politician to run for the Presidential office in 2019 under the APC hence he took the offer when PDP foot soldiers reached out to him.
